Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Can I convert an industrial air dry rack to a heat resistant rack?
A.  Yes you can. Heat Resistant Springs & Casters are required to make the conversion.

Q.  What is the advantage of metal bumper spacers attached to the outer front wire of the drying rack over rubber bumpers in the corners?
A.  One can utilize the full shelf size for the substrate. On racks that have corner rubber bumpers, a portion of the shelf area is reduced in size.

Q.  I have a drying rack that was purchased from Advance Process Supply Company. Do you have parts for these racks?
A.  Yes, for the drying racks that have the metal bumpers on the front of the rack.

Q.  Can I put sheets on a shelf that exceeds the shelf size?
A.  The smaller specialty racks are forgiving, especially the models without bumpers. On the spring loaded drying racks, there may be a problem. In the front to back positioning, the outside bumpers with lay on the stock. From the side to side positioning it is not recommended to exceed the shelf perimeter. There may be some interference with the spring & tensioning arm.

Q.  I screen print aluminum sheets. How much weight can the heavy duty racks hold?
A.  It is recommended that the weight per shelf does not exceed 9 to 12 lbs, depending upon the shelf size. For heavier applications, specialty racks may be able. Please inquire.

Q.  What is the recommended tension arm hole position?
A.  The minimum positioning is hole number 3.
